BREJNING CHURCH, BREJNING, DENMARK
Brejning Church. The church was designed in 1941 by architect Mogens Koch, who also designed the altar silver, candlesticks, altar tapestry, altar section, pulpit, and more—a complete concept for a church.
The church was consecrated in 1967 as a parish church and, with its classic simplicity, is a beautiful, bright, and modern church. This is why Okholm Lighting approached the lighting update with a simple and aesthetic mindset.
The church interior is illuminated by four Ø130cm LED ring chandeliers, equipped with flexible upward and downward lighting. The chandeliers are made of brushed and matte-lacquered copper, harmonizing beautifully with the church’s warm wooden paneling and providing a stunning, warm contrast against the white walls. Their lightness is achieved by suspending them with fine steel wires, giving them a floating effect in the space. The upward and downward lighting can be dimmed separately via DALI control.
