SCT. JACOBI CHURCH

SCT. JACOBI CHURCH, VARDE, DENMARK

The church was likely built between 1150 and 1225, although the exact date remains uncertain. During the Middle Ages, the church was equipped with its tower. In 2016, the church underwent an extensive renovation, which included a new floor, new coloring of the benches, an updated organ, kneelers, and a comprehensive upgrade of the lighting.

Many old churches suffer from insufficient lighting, and in this case, VMB Architects chose to supplement the original chandeliers with their Green chandelier. The Green chandelier integrates beautifully and harmoniously with the original brass chandeliers, leaving the space with a stunning and functional illumination.

Under the gallery, in the porch, and in the sacristy, Gren micro pendants were installed, contributing both functionally and aesthetically to creating a very cohesive and harmonious lighting design for the church. The Gren pendant is also available in custom designs upon request. The Gren chandelier comes in several variants, as does the Gren luminaire, which is also available in various wall-mounted versions.
