MADS NØRGAARD, AMAGERTORV, COPENHAGEN, DENMARK
Lighting designer Marianne Tuxen has been inspired by the famous Nørgaard stripes from the iconic T-shirts. She chose to interpret the stripes freely, allowing LED strings to represent them. As she says: “A Nørgaard stripe of light,” but the light also indicates something futuristic—something new and modern.
The chandelier is simple and raw; it symbolizes simplicity and lack of pretension, just like Nørgaard’s clothing. It is made of steel, and its organic curves immediately attract attention in the already vibrant store environment, filled with impressions and colors. It appears as an exciting focal point in the famous Strøget store on Amagertorv.
