AABENRAA HIGH SCHOOL

AABENRAA HIGH SCHOOL, AABENRAA, DENMARK

With a focus on creating a contemporary and functional learning environment that meets today’s standards for teaching and well-being, architect Ole Weile (Ole Hagen) and the client—in collaboration with Okholm Lighting—developed two magnificent chandeliers for the foyer. These remarkable installations, each measuring 2 meters in diameter and 4 meters in height, imbue the space with a refined elegance.

Crafted in matte-brushed and lacquered stainless steel, each chandelier features 60 LED light sources arranged on slender rods. These rods radiate around a central column, forming an airy, spherical design that, despite its impressive scale, conveys simplicity and sophistication. The result is an architectural lightness that brings openness and modernity to the foyer, where light and space converge in harmonious balance.
