The ECCO Global Marketing headquarters in Tønder, Denmark, is a remarkable example of creativity and architecture, rarely seen on this scale.
Inspired by the iconic thatched-roof farmsteads of the South Jutland marshlands and their harmony with the flat horizon, Ravn Arkitektur from Vejle has created a building that is both simple and spectacular.
The headquarters stands imposingly, with a pure and refined architectural expression, yet reveals countless intricate details to the observant eye. Inside, Okholm Lighting has crafted a unique lighting environment, enhancing the depth and atmosphere of the architecture.
Their lighting concept, selected through a competitive process due to its inspiration from the local natural phenomenon “Black Sun”, consists of approximately 150 SCAN pendants. These are arranged in a structured randomness, ensuring a subtle rhythm and harmony without traditional symmetrical patterns.
Beyond this, Okholm Lighting has also supplied functional lighting for meeting rooms, office area and other spaces in collaboration with an international partner.
The interior environment is as unique and impressive as the exterior architecture, making the combined experience of both design and lighting nothing short of a tribute to the regional character and ECCO’s global vision.
