SORØ ACADEMY OUTDOOR

SORØ ACADEMY, SORØ, DENMARK

To create a safer and more secure atmosphere in the areas between the buildings at Sorø Academy, ERIK Architects (formerly Erik Møller Architects) have designed two types of wall lamps, inspired by the area’s existing lamp posts, originally designed by Karsten Rønnow’s Studio. These have been installed on the corners of the main building as well as on the church façade facing Fratergården.

This solution achieves two effects: in addition to illuminating the historic building façades, the wall lamps also provide light to previously dark and somewhat uninviting areas. The lamps are designed in a historical style and crafted from materials that blend seamlessly and harmoniously into the historic surroundings.
