A historic inn by Hald Lake, near Viborg, exuding timeless Danish culture and tradition. With roots dating back to the Middle Ages and named after the nobleman Niels Bugge, who lived in the 14th century, the inn seamlessly blends history with contemporary elegance. During an extensive renovation, Okholm Lighting was entrusted with designing the lighting concept, which was to reflect the site’s robust authenticity and Scandinavian minimalism.
The lighting design centers around the simple and honest SCAN luminaire, used as suspended pendants or ceiling-mounted fixtures. Each pendant is crafted with a straight upper shade that elegantly reflects light downward, creating a refined and inviting atmosphere.
