WETTINGEN CHURCH, WETTINGEN, SWITZERLAND
As part of the church’s renovation, the lighting was updated with a series of ring chandeliers. The chandeliers were designed by the Swiss company B.A.G Turgi, which is also renowned for a range of other lighting designs.
The lighting concept centers around the choir, which is dominated by a grand, pompous ring chandelier with a diameter of Ø250 cm. Additionally, there is another large ring chandelier with a diameter of Ø200 cm.
The nave is illuminated by a series of ring chandeliers with a diameter of Ø90 cm, and wall lamps were developed specifically for the side aisles.
All the fixtures mounted on the ring chandeliers and wall lamps are dual-sided, separated by a wide band of polished brass. This means there is both an upward and downward light source, creating two beautiful parallel circles of light reminiscent of the large medieval chandeliers. The ring chandeliers work impressively together, complementing the beautiful and simple church interior.
