The big circular lighting floats as a glowing ring below the big ceiling painting in the lending department area and is a symbol on the new center of the building.
The lighting is custom designed by the architect company Schmidt, Hammer & Lassen. The extension of the library, also known as "The Black Diamond", is a building for the 21st century with lots of cultural facilities.
The unique interaction between the simple, stylish lighting, the visual art by Per Kirkeby, and the beautiful architecture gives the room a peculiarity, that attracts attention, and ensures that the decoration is unique. The lighting is an excellent example of great collaboration between designer and manufacturer, which has made the combination of high quality and stylish development form a synthesis.
